Mahesh Telecom is just a small place we have here on Masque Road in Mulund West. It is right in the heart of Frazer Town, which gets pretty busy during the day. I usually get here early to open up the shutters and sweep the front step before the traffic gets too loud. Most days are spent looking at small screens and trying to figure out why a phone won't charge or why the volume button is stuck. People come in from around the neighborhood with all sorts of questions about their gadgets. Some just want a new screen guard put on without any bubbles, and others are looking for a cheap second-hand phone that actually works. The shop isn't fancy at all. We have some glass counters and a workbench in the back where the tools stay. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when three or four people are waiting at once, but that is just how it goes on this street. You hear the bikes going past and the noise from the mosque nearby all the time. We have been in this spot for a while now, so most of the regulars know where to find us. It’s a straightforward setup. We handle the repairs and sell some basic accessories like cables and covers. It’s mostly just keeping things running and making sure people have their phones back when they need them. Nothing complicated about it, just a local shop doing the work every day.
