Mahesh Plastic Solution

Mahesh Plastic Solution is based in Dharavi, at 4th Cross, 1st Stage, number 12. It’s right in the middle of everything. The lanes here are narrow and there is always something going on outside our door. We’ve been here for a long time, and the shop has become a bit like a second home to us. We mainly deal with plastic manufacturing on a small scale. We have a couple of machines that take up most of the floor space. It’s usually quite loud when they are running, so we have to shout a bit to hear each other. We don't have any fancy signs or a big lobby. It’s just a workspace with some chairs for when people come to discuss an order. Often, customers bring in a broken part and ask if we can make a new one just like it. We take some measurements, talk about the material, and get to work. It’s honest, manual labor. We don't have any big mission statements or anything like that. We just want to make sure the pieces we produce are solid and fit the way they should. Sometimes we stay late when there is a big order to finish, and other times it’s quiet enough to close up early. We know most of the other shop owners on this cross, and we often help each other out with tools or supplies. It's just how things go here.
