We are located in Bhandup West, specifically in Raj Guru Nagar. It’s a local furniture shop. If you walk in, you’ll probably smell the wood and the polish right away. We spend most of our time either cutting timber or putting pieces together. There’s always sawdust on the floor, no matter how often we sweep it up. We make things like cupboards, tables, and bed frames. It’s all handmade by the people here. We don't use those big factory machines for everything. We like to see how the wood looks before we start working on it. People from the neighborhood come in to ask for repairs or to get something custom made for their homes. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. Most of the stuff we’ve finished is just wrapped in plastic in the corner waiting to be delivered. The workshop is right in the back. It gets loud with the saws running. Sometimes we have to go to people’s houses to measure the space or fit the cabinets. It’s a lot of manual labor and our hands are usually stained with paint or varnish. We’ve been in Raj Guru Nagar for a long time. Most of the families around here know us by name. We just do our work and hope the furniture lasts a long time in their houses. It’s a steady job and we like working with our hands.
