Mahalaxmi & Sons

Mahalaxmi & Sons is a family thing, located at 15/1 in Chembur. We have been in this part of Chembur for a long time, and the address is pretty much ingrained in our heads. It is not a huge corporation with different departments; it is just us running the show. The building is older, and you can tell by the walls and the way the door creaks a little. We handle our business the way our father taught us, with a lot of manual work and long hours. Chembur is a busy area, but our little corner at 15/1 stays relatively steady. We do not spend money on big ads or glossy brochures. Most people find out about Mahalaxmi & Sons because they live nearby or their family has dealt with us before. We have stacks of ledgers and a desk that has seen a lot of use over the years. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk, other days we are running around trying to get everything done before sunset. It is a practical way to live. We do not have a mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just focus on the work at hand and making sure the shop stays open for another day. It is a simple life here in Chembur, and we are happy to keep the family name going at this same old address.
