Mahalaxmi Mobile Centre

Grant Road is always loud, and our shop at 18/A is right in the middle of all that noise. Mahalaxmi Mobile Centre is a small space, mostly filled with tiny screws, screwdrivers, and old phone parts that we keep just in case. We spend a lot of our time squinting at small screens and trying to figure out why a battery won't hold a charge anymore. It's a lot of sitting under bright lights. People come in with cracked glass or phones that took a swim in a puddle, and we see what we can do. There is no magic to it, just a lot of trial and error and steady hands. The counter is usually cluttered with chargers and cases. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It's just us at the workbench. Sometimes we get a phone that’s so old we have to dig through our back boxes to find a part that fits. It’s a neighborhood spot. We know the people who live upstairs and the tea stall guy nearby. The shop gets dusty fast because of the road outside, so we are always wiping things down. We work long hours, especially when someone needs their phone back for work the next morning. It’s just how things go here on Grant Road. You fix what’s broken and move to the next one. It's messy but it works.
