We operate out of Gala No 3 in the Shiv Giri Industrial estate, which is located in Andheri East. Specifically, we are in the Sakinaka area, right opposite the Durga Hotel. If you’ve ever been to Sakinaka, you know it’s a very industrial and busy part of Mumbai. Our space is what they call a gala, so it has high ceilings and a bit of a workshop feel to it. It’s perfect for design work because we have enough room to spread out our drawings and prototypes. The atmosphere is definitely more "work" than "office." You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood all day—trucks moving, people shouting, and the general hum of the industrial estate. We usually grab lunch at Durga Hotel since it’s right there, and they make a decent thali. The interior of our place is pretty simple. We’ve got some sturdy tables, a couple of good computers, and a lot of samples lying around. It can get a bit dusty because of all the activity nearby, but we try to keep it clean. We aren't the type of designers who wear fancy clothes; we usually have ink or some kind of material on our hands by the end of the day. It’s a hands-on job and we like it that way. Most of our day is spent solving problems and trying to figure out how to make things look better or work more efficiently.
