Machines & Tools

Machines & Tools is based in the Tarun Plastic Industrial Estate, which is over in Andheri East. Our unit number is 14. It is a very crowded area with lots of small businesses packed together. We mostly deal with supplying different kinds of equipment and tools that other factories and workshops need. The space is filled with shelves from floor to ceiling, mostly packed with boxes of parts and heavy tools. It can be a bit of a maze inside sometimes. We have a small counter where we talk to customers who come in looking for something specific. Most of the people who work here have a lot of knowledge about the tools we sell, even if we don't look like professional consultants. We just know what works for which job. Andheri East is always busy, so there is constant movement around the estate. We get deliveries coming in and out all day long. We don't have a big glossy catalog or a marketing team. If someone needs a tool, they usually know to come to us in the estate. We just keep track of our inventory and try to help out the local workshops when they are stuck for a specific part. It is a simple trade business without any of the extra polish you find in the big shopping malls. We like it that way because it keeps things straightforward.
