M S Gems

We are located right in the heart of Pydhonie, Mumbai. Our shop is on Kolsa Street, inside Huda Mansion. You have to come up to the fifth floor, Room 35. It’s a very busy area, always full of people and noise, which is just part of being in this part of the city. We work with gems and stones. It’s a lot of looking through magnifying glasses and weighing things on tiny scales. We’ve been in this building for quite some time now. The room is small, but it fits everything we need. We spend our days sorting through different stones and talking to people who come by looking for something specific. It’s a traditional kind of business. We don't have a website that does everything; we prefer talking to people face-to-face. Sometimes the light in the room isn't the best, so we have to move closer to the window to see the colors clearly. Mumbai can be hot, and the walk up can be tiring, but this is where the trade happens. We aren't a big jewelry store with guards at the door. We are just a small spot where the real work with gems gets done. Most of our neighbors in the building do similar things. It’s a community of traders. We just keep our heads down, do our sorting, and try to make a living in the 400004 area.
