Ankur Gems

Ankur Gems is tucked away in Borivali West. We are in building A, room 606. It isn't a shop on the ground floor with a big sign, so you have to know where you are going to find us. Being on the sixth floor means it is a bit quieter than being down on the street. We mostly deal with stones and gems. Sometimes it’s busy with people coming in to look at specific pieces for a ring they are making, and other days it’s just us doing paperwork and organizing the stock. Borivali is always moving, but up here it feels a bit different. We have a small desk and some stools for when people want to sit and look at things under the light. The sun hits the window pretty hard in the afternoon, which is good for seeing the colors in the stones. We’ve been in this building for a few years now. Most of the people who come here have heard about us from someone else. It’s not the kind of place you just walk into by accident. We keep things pretty straightforward. There’s no fancy furniture or coffee machines, just the stuff we need to do our work. It can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of deliveries arriving at once, but we manage fine. That’s just how it is here in Borivali. We keep the door closed to keep the dust out.
