M R Dhamnaskar Communication

M R Dhamnaskar Communication is our small shop on M G Haveli Road in Dahisar, right at number 8. we have been here for many years, starting back when most people needed help with landlines and simple recharges. Now it’s mostly mobile phone stuff and some basic internet work for the neighbors. The shop is quite narrow, with just enough space for a small counter and a couple of plastic chairs for people to sit while they wait for their work. We have a lot of different cables and wires hanging around the walls. It’s a bit cluttered but we know where everything is kept. The area around Haveli Road is mostly residential, so we know a lot of the families who live nearby. They come to us when their phones stop working or they just need a new SIM card. We also help people with some basic paperwork and taking photocopies. It’s a quiet life compared to the busy city centers nearby. We open the heavy shutters early in the morning and often close late in the evening. There is a small shrine near the front door that we look after every day. We don't have a big corporate structure or any managers. It's just a local business run by me and my brother. We try to be helpful to the elderly folks who live around here. Sometimes we spend more time talking than actually working.
