M M Aluminium Shutters is tucked away in Bhuleshwar. We are at number 7 in the Ghojaria Estate, which is located on Khanwa Lane. This area is near the 4th Cross. Bhuleshwar is one of those old parts of Mumbai where the lanes are very narrow and always packed with people, carts, and goods. It’s a bit of a maze if you aren't familiar with it. Our shop in Ghojaria Estate is where we do all the work with aluminium. You can usually hear us before you see us, with the sound of metal being cut or moved around. It’s a dusty, noisy environment, but that’s the nature of making shutters. The estate itself is old and has a lot of character. We don't have a showroom; we just have our workspace where the materials are stacked up. We spend our days measuring, cutting, and assembling. Khanwa Lane is always busy, and sometimes it’s hard for a delivery truck to even get close to our door. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a long time and know the other workers in the estate. It’s a hot place to work, especially with the machines running, but we have our fans and our tea breaks to keep us going. We just focus on the orders we have and making sure the shutters are ready on time. It’s honest work in a very busy part of the city.
