We are located on the third floor of Amrit Niwas, which is number 165 in the Lohar Chawl area. If you know this part of town, you know it’s always crowded with people, carts, and all kinds of shops. Getting up to the third floor is a bit of a workout, especially on days when the stairs are full of people moving goods. We’ve been here at number 40 for quite a few years now. It’s a typical Lohar Chawl office, meaning we have a lot of stuff tucked into every available corner. We handle a variety of trading goods under the name Greens India Corporation. Mostly, it’s wholesale business that moves through the local market networks. The office is small and the walls are thin, so you can hear the bustle of the street from morning until night. It’s a very busy atmosphere, but that’s just the way it is in this neighborhood. We have a couple of old desks and shelves filled with ledgers and records. I usually sit by the window so I can get a little fresh air and see the activity below. We don’t do much in the way of advertising; most people find us because they’ve known us for years in Amrit Niwas. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to wait it out, but the work always gets done eventually. It’s a simple, honest operation run by people who know the local trade inside and out.
