Working in the Import Department here at the Powai Campus is quite a lot to handle some days. We are tucked away in the E. P. C. Block on the first floor, B Wing. It’s a big campus on Saki Vihar Road in Andheri East, so it takes a bit of walking to get from the main gate to our desks. People usually get lost looking for the right wing because the buildings all start to look the same after a while. Our office is full of files and computers and there is always someone talking on the phone about shipments or customs stuff. It’s not like the fancy parts of the company you see in magazines. We are the ones dealing with the paperwork and the logistics. The canteen is a bit of a walk, so we usually just bring our own lunch or grab something quick from the small shop. The air conditioning is usually a bit too cold in our wing, so most of us keep a sweater at the desk even when it's boiling outside in Andheri. It gets pretty busy around the end of the month when everything needs to be cleared and filed. We’ve got a view of some trees outside the window, which is nice when you need a break from looking at spreadsheets. It's just a regular office life in a big company, trying to keep track of everything coming in from overseas.
