L K Plastic is tucked away at Plot No 12 in the Banwari Compound, which is just off Linking Road in Mahim. This area is always buzzing with people and vehicles, so there is never a dull moment. Our workshop is a straightforward place where we handle plastic manufacturing and storage. It is not a modern building by any means; it has that old Mahim charm, for better or worse. We spend our days managing the production schedule and making sure our inventory is sorted. The compound itself is shared with many other small businesses, so we are part of a busy little ecosystem. It can get very hot in the summer because the ventilation isn't the best, but we just keep the fans going and get on with our work. We don't have a marketing department or a polished public image. We are just a few people who know plastics and have been doing this for a long time. Sometimes Linking Road gets so jammed that our deliveries are late, which can be frustrating, but that is just life in Mumbai. We like being in Mahim because it is central, even if the space is a bit cramped. We focus on our daily tasks and try to be as reliable as we can for the people who buy from us. There are no big promises here, just a commitment to doing the work properly and keeping the business going year after year.
