Krishna Vishnu Salgaonkar

My place is at 12 -B S V Road, right across from the S J B C M School. You can usually hear the kids playing during their breaks, which is a constant sound throughout the day. I have been here for a long time, and I have seen many classes of students come and go. The shop is a bit small and can get crowded if more than two people are inside at once. I keep most of my things on shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. It is a bit of a climb to get stuff down sometimes. I spend most of my day at the counter or working in the back room. S V Road is always packed with cars and buses, so there is never a dull moment looking out the window. I do not have a website or any of that stuff; people just know I am here. I talk to my customers like neighbors because most of them are. We discuss the weather or the traffic while I am helping them. I do not like to overcomplicate things. If I can do a job, I say so. If I cannot, I tell them that too. It is just an honest way to run a business. My hands are usually busy with something or other. It is not fancy, but it works for me and the people who come by. We have been here so long that the location feels like home.
