Our small place is in Malad East, specifically at Ahmed Abdulla Chawl in Room No 5. It is right in the Kasam Baag area. If you find the Royal Complex Building, we are very close to that. Kreative Arts is a bit tucked away, but that is just how it is in this part of town. Working in a chawl means you are always close to your neighbors and there is always something going on outside the door. We spend our time doing various artistic things and working on whatever projects come our way. Malad is always crowded and noisy, but inside Room No 5, we just focus on the colors and the materials. It is a tight space, so we have to stay organized or we wouldn't be able to move around. We started out here because it was a practical spot to set up. Most days involve a lot of sketching or preparing different art pieces. We don't have a big storefront with lights, just a simple sign so people can find us. It’s a bit of a walk from the main station, but once you get into Kasam Baag, it’s easy to navigate. We like the local vibe of the neighborhood even if it gets a bit chaotic during the monsoon. We just do our work and talk to the people who stop by the room. It’s a simple life and we keep busy with the art.
