Kindergarden School

If you know Goregaon West, you know how packed S V Road gets. Our Kindergarden School is right there in the middle of all that chaos. It's a very busy part of Mumbai, and sometimes it feels like the whole city is passing by our front door. We've been operating out of this location for quite some years. It started out quite small and we just stayed here because it's easy for parents to reach on their way to the station. The building isn't new, and it has that old Goregaon feel to it. Inside, it's usually loud with kids running around, which is a big contrast to the traffic outside. We don't use any of those modern teaching methods you see in the big international schools. We just teach the basics and let the kids be kids. The staff are mostly local ladies from the area who have been with us for a long time. They know the shortcuts to avoid the traffic jams on S V Road. We have some posters on the walls and plenty of benches that have seen better days. It's an honest place. We don't try to look like something we aren't. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the water pump acts up, but we fix it and move on. It’s just life in a Mumbai suburb. Most of our students live in the apartments nearby, so we see the same faces every day when the gates open.
