Started working out of Laxmi Plaza in Andheri East quite some time back. It is a busy spot on New Link Road. Most days here start with a lot of noise from the traffic outside and the phone ringing before we even get the shutters up. We’ve been at unit 105 for a while now. People usually just walk in when their filters act up or if they need a part replaced. It isn’t a fancy office or anything like that. Just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of spare parts stacked in the corners. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a break, but mostly it is just work. Andheri gets really crowded in the evenings, so we try to wrap things up by seven. My cousin helps out with the paperwork, though he isn't always on time. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. New buildings coming up everywhere. It is hard to keep track of everyone. We just try to handle the repairs as they come. No big plans, just keeping the shop running and making sure the machines we look at actually work. If you ever find yourself near New Link Road, you’ll see our sign. It is nothing special, just a place where we do our daily business. We deal with all sorts of people, some in a hurry and others who want to chat for an hour. That is just how it goes here in Mumbai.
