Kent Trading Company

Kent Trading Company is based on Dargah Cross Road in the Fort area. Fort is one of those places that always feels like it’s in a hurry, and our street is no different. We’ve been trading from this location for quite some time. The office is in an older building with high ceilings and heavy doors. Inside, you’ll find stacks of ledgers and boxes waiting to be moved. We deal with various goods, mostly moving items from one place to another. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking on shipments. The Dargah Cross Road can get very narrow and crowded, which makes deliveries a bit of a puzzle sometimes. I’ve worked in Fort my whole life and I wouldn’t know what to do in a quiet office. There’s a certain rhythm to the trading business that you only get in this part of town. We don’t have any fancy signs out front. People who need us usually know where we are. It’s hard work, and the days can be long when the shipments are delayed for some reason. We just sit at our desks, manage the paperwork, and try to keep things moving. It’s a small operation, just me and a couple of others who know the business. We don't spend money on fancy furniture; we just need a desk and a working phone. It’s a practical, no-nonsense way to run things in a busy city. Most days we are here until late evening finishing up the books.
