Kashi Furniture

We have our workshop and showroom at Karmayogi Chaddha Estate in Santacruz East. It’s right near the Vakola Pipeline in Shivaji Nagar. If you’ve walked by, you’ve probably seen some of our pieces sitting out or heard the sound of sawing and hammering. We’ve been making furniture here for a long time. It’s a bit of a dusty environment because of all the wood shavings, but that’s part of the trade. We don't have a fancy air-conditioned gallery. Instead, we have a workspace where you can see things being put together. People come to us when they need a new cupboard or a bed frame. We use our hands and basic tools to get the work done. The area around the pipeline is always active, and we fit right in with the other workshops. Sometimes the estate gets a bit crowded with trucks, which makes it hard to move finished pieces out. We just deal with it as it comes. We aren't interested in being a big brand name. We just like working with wood and seeing a finished table or chair go out to a home in the neighborhood. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset. There is usually someone here if you want to look at what we are currently building. We usually have some scraps of wood left over that the local kids take for their projects.
