Kartaar Mechanical Works

We are located over at Kartaar Mechanical Works, tucked into the industrial estates around Marol and Saki Vihar Road. Specifically, we’re in Avinash Industrial Estate and have space in Vaibhav Industrial Estate too. It’s a loud environment. There’s always the sound of machines running, metal hitting metal, and trucks moving in and out of the C wing. We do a lot of mechanical repairs and custom work for other businesses in the area. It’s dirty work, and we all wear overalls that have seen better days. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings or oil, no matter how much we sweep. We don’t have a front office with a receptionist; you usually have to find us in the back where the machines are. People bring us parts that are broken or need modifying, and we figure out how to fix them. It’s a lot of problem-solving on the fly. Marol is a huge hub for this kind of work, so we’re surrounded by other workshops just like ours. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the guys in the neighboring units. We share tools sometimes or help each other out with heavy lifts. It’s a tough way to make a living, but it’s what we know how to do. We don't worry about being fancy. We just focus on the machines and making sure the work is solid before it leaves the shop.
