My place is over at Rustomjee Regency in Dahisar West. It's a pretty large housing complex, but I’m tucked away in unit 3B/74 near Tal Purandar. I’ve been living and working here for a few years now. The area has changed quite a lot lately with all the new buildings and roads going up. My office is basically just a room I’ve converted so I can have a dedicated space to handle my work. It’s got a decent view of the surroundings, though there’s a lot of construction noise coming from nearby sites sometimes. I spend most of my days here dealing with various tasks. It’s just me, so I don't have a receptionist or anyone like that to handle the door or the phone. If the phone rings, I’m the one picking it up and talking to people. I keep a lot of my records in old-fashioned ledger books because I find them much easier to use than some of the newer computer software. The room is a bit cramped with all the boxes of files and papers, but I know exactly where everything is located. I usually start my work quite early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. There’s a small balcony where I sit sometimes to clear my head and drink a cup of tea. Most of my clients are people from the neighborhood or others who’ve known me for a long time. I don't do any flashy advertising or social media. I just show up every day and do what needs to be done.
