Kamia Communication

We are over in Vile Parle East on Tejpal Road. The number on the door says 41590. It is a neighborhood where people know each other, so we see a lot of the same faces every week. The shop is small and the walls are covered with posters for mobile networks and data packs. I usually sit at the main desk near the entrance. Most of the work at Kamia Communication involves helping people with their connections or fixing a broken charging port. It’s not the kind of place with shiny floors or bright neon lights. We have a ceiling fan that makes a bit of a clicking sound, but it keeps the air moving. I spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers about when the new stock of tempered glass will arrive. Sometimes students from the nearby colleges come in to get their screens fixed because they’re on a budget. We try to be honest about how long things will take. There is a small drawer where we keep all the receipts tucked away. Outside, the road can get pretty jammed up with cars, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of the keyboard or a soldering iron. We have a small window that lets in some light, but it’s mostly artificial bulbs in here. It’s a simple, honest setup that we’ve been running for quite some time now without much fuss or fanfare.
