Kalpana Trading Company

Kalpana Trading Company is based in the Kidiwala Building, specifically at numbers 56/58, right near the Colgate Ground. This area on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Road is always humming with a lot of activity and noise. We are located on the ground floor, which makes it a lot easier for moving heavy goods in and out throughout the day. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes, especially when a big delivery truck comes to the door and we have to unload everything. The building is one of those old New B structures that has seen better days, but it serves its purpose for us. Inside, it’s mostly just stacks of boxes and old ledgers on the desks. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or checking the stock levels to see what we need for the next week. It’s not a quiet office environment; there’s always the sound of carts being pushed or people shouting across the hallway. We don’t have any air conditioning, just a few ceiling fans that move the warm air around. It gets quite hot during the summer months, but we’re all used to it by now. The team here has been working together for a long time, so we all know who is supposed to do what without having to say much. We handle a variety of items, and every day brings a different set of small challenges. Some days we are just counting items for hours on end.
