Shraddha Plastics

Shraddha Plastics is on the ground floor of Ishwar Bhavan, which is at 65/67 Old Hangman Lane in Kalbadevi. If you know Kalbadevi, you know how packed the streets are. Old Hangman Lane is no exception. It’s a maze of shops and people carrying bundles of goods on their shoulders. Our space on the ground floor is convenient for moving things in and out, but it’s still a squeeze. We have bags and stacks of plastic items everywhere. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is. The Ishwar Bhavan building is quite old and has a lot of character, though the walls are a bit stained from years of use. We spend our days answering the phone and helping people who walk in off the lane. The air is always filled with the sounds of the market outside. We usually keep the door open to get some air, even though it brings in all the dust and noise. It’s a very local way of doing business. We don’t have a website or a big marketing plan. We just show up at the shop, open the shutters, and see what the day brings. Most of our neighbors have been here as long as we have, so there is a bit of a community feeling despite the chaos of the city. We close up when the street gets quiet in the evening. It is just a regular life here in Kalbadevi at Old Hangman Lane.
