Riddhi Textiles

Riddhi Textiles is located up on the 3rd floor of Kakad Estate, in Room No. 69. If you know Kalbadevi Road, you know it is always crowded and moving. We are right near the Mahindra Workshop, so there is always a bit of mechanical noise mixing with the sounds of the textile market. Our space is filled with rolls of cloth and different fabrics stacked up high against the walls. It can be a bit of a climb to get up here, but it’s where we do all our sorting and checking. The light in the room is okay during the day, which helps when we are looking at colors and patterns. We spend our hours talking to traders and making sure the orders are packed up for the delivery guys who have to navigate the narrow lanes downstairs. It’s not a quiet job. There is always someone coming in or out with a bundle of cloth. We’ve been in this part of Kalbadevi for a long time, so we know most of the people in the building. The room is a bit small for everything we have, but we make it work by keeping things organized in our own way. We don’t have a fancy showroom, just the stacks of textiles and a desk where we handle the paperwork. It’s a lot of manual work, moving heavy bolts of fabric around, but that is just how the textile business goes in this part of town.
