K. Sharu Merunalani

Anusakthinagar is a very unique part of Mumbai. It is tucked away and full of greenery because it is part of the BARC colony. I live in the Sabarmati building, apartment number 24. My name is K. Sharu Merunalani, and I have been here for quite a while now. Working from inside the colony is very different from working in the rest of the city. It is peaceful and there isn't much outside noise from traffic, which helps me focus on what I need to do. My workspace is just a small table in my flat. I don't have a big team or any fancy equipment that you might see in a corporate office. I just handle the work that comes my way, mostly stuff involving writing things down or organizing information for people. It is a quiet existence, and I like it that way. Most of my neighbors are also working nearby or are part of the same community, so there is a nice sense of belonging. I don't feel the need to be promotional about what I do or use fancy words. I just do my best with each task and move on to the next one. Sometimes I take a long walk around the colony roads to clear my head in the evening. The security at the gates keeps the busy world out, so I can just get on with my day. It is a simple, straightforward way to live and work in a busy city like Mumbai. I enjoy the calm here.
