K. R. Industries

K. R. Industries is located in the Nandjyot Industrial Estate. You can find us at Plot No. E/4. It's in the Safed Pool area, right off the Kurla-Andheri Road in Sakinaka. This part of Mumbai is always moving. It’s crowded and the traffic is usually a mess, but it’s where all the action is. We’ve been in this estate for years. The walls in our unit could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we're too busy with production to worry about that. We make various industrial parts. It’s loud work with all the machines running. We wear earplugs most of the day. Our team is small, mostly guys who have been with us since the start. We don't do big presentations or corporate meetings. We just meet on the floor and figure out the schedule. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the narrow lanes of the estate. It’s a common thing here. We just drink some water and wait for the path to clear. We don't promise anything we can't do. If the machines are down, we tell you they're down. It’s better to be honest about it. Sakinaka is a tough place to work because of the heat, but we have a few fans going. It’s a basic setup, but it’s ours. We just keep our heads down and keep the machines running.
