K M Shah & Sons

We are located down at Marine Lines. Our shop is 818, over in Sector-8, at Shop No 81/A on the Ground Floor. It is a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes with all the stock we keep inside. This is a family thing for us. My father started it, and now we are all here doing the same thing. The building is quite old, like most of the things in this part of town. You can actually hear the trains if it is quiet enough outside, but it rarely is. We open up the shop every morning and wait for the regulars to stop by. Being on the ground floor helps a lot because people just walk in straight off the street. We have seen the whole neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Some shops closed down and others opened up, but K M Shah & Sons stayed right here in the same spot. We do not use any fancy computer systems for everything. We still write things down by hand mostly. It is just how we learned to do it back then. There is a lot of history inside these walls. Sometimes the ceiling fans do not work right and it gets very hot in the afternoons. We just drink some tea and keep moving. It is a real shop where we actually know our neighbors. We have been at 818 for a long time.
