We've been at 199 Masjid Bunder West for a long time now. If you know Yusaf Mehar Ali Road, you know how crowded it gets with all the handcarts and people moving boxes around. Our spot is right near the Punjab Sweet Shop, so we always have that smell of frying snacks in the air. It gets noisy outside, especially in the afternoons when the market is at its peak, but we just keep our heads down and get through the day's work. The building itself is old, one of those typical structures in this part of Mumbai where every square inch is used for something. Sometimes the electricity flickers or the traffic on the road makes it hard for deliveries to reach us on time, but that is just how things go in Masjid Bunder. We handle our daily paperwork and talk to the people who come by. It isn't a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It's just a place where we sit, answer the phone, and manage our business. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we're usually too busy to worry about that. Most people find us by looking for the sweet shop first. We've seen the neighborhood change over the years, yet the basic hustle remains exactly the same. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and get started with whatever is on the list for that day.
