K L Kably is located in the Fort area, which is one of the older parts of the city with all those big stone buildings. We are on the second floor of Pantaky House. To get to us, you go past the Handloom House and look for Hotel Fountain Plaza, because we are right above it. The building has that old Fort feel, with high ceilings and stairs that have been climbed by thousands of people over the years. Our office, Bd Calama, is just a regular workspace where we handle our business. It’s usually pretty busy outside on the street with people heading to work or tourists looking at the architecture. Inside, it’s a bit quieter, though you can still hear the city hum through the glass. We have some old desks and plenty of cupboards for all the files we’ve collected. It’s not the kind of place with modern glass walls or fancy carpets. It’s more about the history of the building and the work we do every day. We drink a lot of tea and stay focused on the tasks at hand. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but that’s just part of being in an old building. We like the location because it’s close to everything in Fort. You can walk to the station or grab a quick bite at the hotel downstairs. It’s a practical place to be for a business like ours and we have been here a long time.
