We’ve been at Dadar West 15 for a long time. This part of the city is always crowded, and our shop is right in the middle of it all. It’s a small place, honestly. We have shelves that go all the way up to the ceiling, filled with all sorts of things we’ve collected over the years. Half the time, we have to use a rickety old ladder to reach the stuff at the top. We’ve thought about getting a new one, but this one still holds up, so we keep using it. Jyoti Traders isn't a big company with many branches. It's just a few of us here every day from morning until the shutters go down at night. We know the regular customers who come by, and we usually know what they want before they even ask. It’s more about the routine than anything else. We don’t have a website or anything like that. If people want to find us, they just walk down the street and look for the sign. The floor is a bit uneven in the back, so you have to watch your step. We spend our time talking to suppliers and making sure we have enough stock. Sometimes the rains make the walls a bit damp, but that’s just part of being in an old building in Dadar. We like it here though. It feels like home after all these years of working.
