Our little spot is in Malad East, over in Sector 11. Specifically Gandhi Nagar 2. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the main roads. We mostly deal with talk time, recharges, and fixing up phones that have seen better days. The shop isn't anything fancy. We have a couple of glass cabinets and a stool that creaks when you sit on it. We spend most of our time staring at small circuits or talking to the neighbors who stop by for a chat. Sometimes we run out of change and have to run to the grocery store nearby to get some coins. It’s a simple life here. We see the kids going to school in the morning and the office workers coming back in the evening. The walls could use a scrub, and the floor tiles are a bit chipped near the entrance. We keep a stack of old newspapers in the corner for when we’re eating lunch. It's just a local business where we know most people by name. We don't use any big computers for our work, just a few handheld devices and the tools on the bench. If the power goes out, which happens sometimes, we just sit outside on the steps until it comes back. It's just how things go around here in Malad and we wouldn't have it any other way. We like the pace of it.
