Over at Plote No 128 in Panvel City, you’ll find us working away at Jj Wood. We’ve been part of the Sundaram Mcch Society area in Kulup Wadi for some time now. The shop is usually covered in a thin layer of sawdust, which is just how a wood shop should be if you’re actually doing anything. We handle all sorts of wood related tasks. Sometimes it’s just cutting boards to size for a neighbor, other times it’s more involved projects. Navi Mumbai is growing fast, but here in Panvel, we still like to do things the old way. We don't have a glossy catalog or a sales team. It's just us and the tools. People come by when they need a shelf fixed or a new frame made for a door. It's honest work that keeps us busy from morning till evening. The location in Kulup Wadi is easy to find once you know where Sundaram Mcch Society is. I’ve lived around here long enough to know most of the faces that walk in. We aren't trying to be the biggest wood supplier in the city. We just want to make sure the things we build or fix stay put and do their job. It gets loud with the saws running, but that’s the sound of work.
