Our office is located at 51-A on D N Road in Navrangpura. It is one of those older buildings that has seen a lot of history over the years. We have been operating from this same spot for a long time, and not much has changed inside since my father’s time. We have the same heavy wooden desks and old filing cabinets that have been there forever. We are mostly involved in wholesale trading and general commerce. Our days are filled with writing out ledgers and making phone calls to suppliers and buyers across the state. It is a quiet kind of work compared to the shops downstairs. We do not have a fancy lobby or a receptionist greeting people. Usually, you will just find one of us sitting at the desk with a cup of tea, looking over some paperwork. The windows look out onto the street and we can hear the buses going by all day long. Sometimes the ceiling fan squeaks a bit but we have stopped noticing it. It is a very straightforward way of doing business. We have our regular clients who have been coming to us for decades, and they know where to find us. We do not use much technology here, just the basics to get the job done. It is a traditional setup and that is the way we like it.
