Jas Travels

If you know the Masjid area, you know how crowded it gets during the day. Jas Travels is right in the middle of all that noise and movement. We have been here for a good amount of time now. Mostly, we are just busy with booking tickets and answering questions about train timings or flights. People come in constantly, sometimes just to ask a quick question and other times to sit down and figure out a long trip. The office is small and filled with old calendars and stacks of printed itineraries. We don't have much space for anything extra, so every corner has something tucked into it. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes with all the files. We usually have the radio on in the background, but you can hardly hear it over the sound of the street outside. Working in this part of town means you have to be fast. We don't really sit around much. There is always someone needing a printout or a confirmation for their travel plans. We try to keep track of everything on the computer, but we still use a lot of paper notebooks for quick notes. It isn't a high-tech setup or anything, just a regular place where people come to get their travel stuff sorted out before they head home. Most of the people who come here live nearby or work in the local market. It is a simple life and we just take it one booking at a time.
