Jannat Furniture

Shop No 17, Amar Mahal Chambers is where we spend our days. We are right in Chembur, just across from Nilkanth Apartment. It’s a busy little corner. You can usually find us working on some wood pieces or talking to customers who walk in from the street. The shop isn't very big, so things get a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock. There is sawdust on the floor most of the time, and the smell of varnish is something we’ve just gotten used to. We have been here for a while now, watching the neighborhood change. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really loud, especially during the evenings. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us handling the tools and making sure the furniture is sturdy. If someone needs a cupboard or a new table, they just come by and we chat about it. We use a lot of local materials when we can get them. The light in the shop isn't the best, but we know where everything is. It’s a bit messy, but that’s how a workshop is supposed to look. We take our tea breaks sitting on whatever stools are finished at the time. It’s a simple life running a furniture shop in this part of town. We just try to get the work done and hope the customers are satisfied with what they take home.
