You can find us at 16 Mulund West in Maheshwari Nagar, specifically in Shivganga Apartment. Janata Furniture Mart & Interiors has been our workplace for a long time now. It is usually quite dusty in here because of all the sawing and sanding going on throughout the day. We spend a lot of our time looking at wood grains and picking out different fabrics that might look good on a sofa or a chair. It is definitely not a quiet job. There is almost always the sound of a hammer or a drill somewhere in the background. We do not have a fancy showroom with perfect lighting; it is more of a real working space where things are actually being built. Sometimes we are out at a client’s place measuring walls and trying to figure out how to make a cupboard fit in a tight corner. Mulund is a nice area, and we have met a lot of families who have lived here for generations. We do not bother with fancy brochures or any of that marketing talk. If someone wants to see what we do, they can just look at the pieces we are working on right now. Designing interiors is hard work and involves a lot of trial and error. We often have bits of sawdust on our clothes when we finally go home at night. It is just the way it is when you are making furniture. We like the feeling of finishing a project and seeing it finally come together.
