Down in Vikhroli West at 411-A, that’s where you’ll find Jaina Mobile (India) Pvt Ltd. We’ve been operating out of this space for a good while now. It’s not the biggest shop in the world, but it fits everything we need and we’ve made it our own. Most of the guys here have been working with phones and gadgets for years, so we’ve seen all sorts of problems. We spend a lot of our time staring at small screens and messing around with circuit boards. It’s quiet work mostly, punctuated by the sound of customers coming in to ask about a cracked screen or a battery that won’t hold a charge anymore. We don’t really use a lot of big technical words or try to sell people stuff they don’t actually need. If a phone is past saving, we just tell them straight. It’s better to be honest about it even if it means we don't make a sale that day. The street outside can get pretty loud during the afternoon rush, but inside we just focus on the repairs at hand. We keep a lot of spare parts in the back room, though it’s a bit of a disaster back there sometimes. It’s just how we work. People in the Vikhroli area know we’re here if they run into trouble with their devices. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in India, despite what the name might sound like. We just want to make sure the people who walk through our door leave with their phones working again.
