Jahur Arts

Jahur Arts is Shop No. 2 on Film City Road in Goregaon East. We are right opposite the Heena Gaurav Tower, which is a huge building that everyone knows. Being on Film City Road means it is always crowded with cars, bikes, and people heading towards the studios. Our shop is quite small, but we make it work. There is usually a lot of stuff piled up near the entrance, like rolls of vinyl or paint tins. The smell of ink and thinners is usually the first thing you notice when you walk in. We do a lot of hand-painted work and signs here. The walls are covered with some of our older work just to show what we can do. It is often quite hot in Goregaon, especially during the summer, so the small fan in the corner is always running at full speed. We see all sorts of people coming through the door, from studio workers to local shopkeepers. The floor is stained with a bit of paint here and there, which shows how much work goes on. We don’t really have a fancy reception area. If someone comes by, they just stand by the counter and tell us what they need. It is a busy life here in Goregaon East. By the time we close the shutters at night, the traffic outside is still going strong. We just focus on getting the daily jobs finished before the day ends.
