J B Rubber Works

J B Rubber Works operates out of Gala No 13 in the Koparkar Industrial area. This is in Bhandup West, specifically on Gotri Road. We are positioned right across from the Vishal Industrial Estate. It is a proper industrial zone, so it is quite loud with the sound of machines and trucks passing by all day. Inside our gala, we have the presses and molds for making different rubber parts. It gets quite hot in there, especially during the summer months, but that is part of the job. We make things like gaskets, bushes, and other small rubber items that bigger companies need. There is always a smell of burnt rubber in the air which we have grown used to over the years. We started this place because we knew how to work the machines and there was a demand for spare parts. It is not a clean office job. Our hands are usually stained with black soot or grease. We have a small table where we sit to have our lunch and talk about the production numbers for the day. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend half the night fixing it so we don't fall behind on orders. It is a tough way to make a living but it is what we know. The location in Bhandup is good for us because most of our suppliers are nearby.
