Balvant Trading Co is situated at A 23 in Nagdevi Cross Lane. This is right in the middle of Masjid Bunder West, a place that is almost always jam-packed with people and all sorts of goods being moved around. If you are looking for our office, we are located near the Ruhani Restaurant and the address also mentions Bibewadi. The lane outside is quite narrow, so you have to be careful when you are walking through it because of all the handcarts passing by. Our office and the storage area are basically combined into one single space, so there are boxes and various hardware items stacked up almost everywhere you look. It usually smells like metal and sometimes you can smell the food cooking from the restaurant next door. We do not have a reception desk or a waiting area. You just walk in and someone will be there sitting behind a stack of crates or an old desk. We have been trading from this exact spot for a good number of years now. The walls are a bit stained and the floor is worn down from years of moving heavy items. It is a gritty, hard-working environment, very different from the modern office buildings you see in other parts of the city. We start our day very early when the market opens and we only finish when the shutters go down for the night. It is a tight space, but we are used to the rhythm.
