B. J. Rubber Industries

We are over here in Bhandup West, specifically on the first floor of Tirupati Indus in unit 103. It’s a busy building and we’ve been part of it for quite a while now. Dealing with rubber products isn't exactly glamorous work, but it’s what we know how to do. Most days start early with checking orders and making sure the machines are running like they should. If you walk down Bhulabhai Desai Road, you’ll find us easily enough near the Kemps Corner side. We don't have a big fancy reception or anything like that. It’s mostly just the sound of work going on and people moving things around. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really loud, especially during the monsoon when the roads get messy. We just keep our heads down and get the items ready for whoever needs them. It’s a small team here, just a handful of us making sure everything is handled properly. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we have to. Usually, we are on the floor checking the stock or talking to the delivery guys. It’s just a regular workplace where we try to stay organized. Most of our neighbors in the building are doing similar industrial stuff. We’ve seen the area change over the years, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. If someone drops by, they’ll probably see us drinking tea or looking over a dusty ledger. It’s basic, honest work in a busy part of the city.
