We work out of A/11 in the Ekta Cooperative Housing Society, which is situated inside the SJK Compound on Kherani Road. If you know Sakinaka, you know how busy this whole area gets. We are right near the Ramlila Ground, which is a major landmark for anyone trying to find us. Mumbai is always moving fast, and Sakinaka is right in the middle of that energy. The office is in a building that has seen a lot of years, but it’s sturdy and serves us well. Getting here every morning involves navigating through the heavy traffic on Kherani Road, which can be a bit of a struggle if the monsoon is heavy or if there’s a lot of construction going on. Our space is functional. We have our rows of desks and the usual office equipment. It’s often quite noisy outside with the honking and the crowds, but once we are inside and working, it mostly fades into the background. We have a lot of people coming and going because of the nature of the work. The housing society vibe is still there, even with the businesses operating out of the compound. We usually order in lunch or go to one of the small eateries nearby that serve the local office crowd. It’s a very typical Mumbai workspace—compact, busy, and always full of things to do. We are in the 72 pin code area and have been here for a long time now.
