Ifteksar Siddhique

Ifteksar Siddhique is usually around at the shop, Nafin Jaan Communication. We are right there at 1st Grant Road, Gulal Wadi. It is quite easy to find since we are opposite the Eye Hospital. The area is always buzzing with people. You can hear the horns and the street vendors all day long. The shop is small, but we have stuffed it with all the things people need. People come in for all sorts of things, maybe a recharge or to ask about a connection. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially when the sun hits the front of the shop. We have a small stool for people to sit on if they have to wait, but usually, it's a quick in and out. The walls have some old posters on them that we haven't changed in years. Grant Road has a rhythm of its own, and we are just a small part of it. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat for a minute while they wait for their bus. We don't really have a formal way of doing things, we just talk to people like they are friends. It’s a bit of a mess with all the wires and boxes behind the counter, but I know where everything is. You learn to work in the small space we have. It’s a busy life, but it keeps us going. We just try to keep the shop running as best as we can every single day.
