Hydex Engineering

So we are located over at Plot No 89-A in Loha Bhavan. If you know the CST area, you know how packed it gets. Every morning there is a line of trucks trying to squeeze through the lanes. We’ve been here at Hydex Engineering for quite a while now. The building, Loha Bhavan, it has that old iron smell that never really goes away. We deal with hydraulic parts and general engineering stuff. It’s not the cleanest work, our hands are usually covered in some kind of grease by noon. The office is just a small room with a couple of desks and a lot of paperwork piled up. We don't have fancy lights or anything. Just the basic stuff to get the job done. Sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour and we just sit outside and talk to the neighbors. There is a tea stall just around the corner that we visit way too often. It’s a busy life here in Mumbai. We start early because if you miss the morning window, the heat gets to you. The fans in the workshop are loud but they help. We just focus on getting the orders ready and making sure things aren't missing. It's a lot of manual checking. No fancy computers doing everything for us here. Just us and the parts. That’s how we’ve always done it at Hydex. It works for us.
