Hindustan Hardware & Tools Company is located at 138/40 Mandvi Midc in Avadhan. Being in an industrial area like this means things are usually pretty loud and dusty. We spend a lot of time unloading heavy boxes of hardware and trying to find space for them on the racks. The building is a basic industrial unit, nothing special to look at, but it does the job. Most of our day is spent helping people who come in looking for specific bolts, hammers, or power tools for their own workshops nearby. Avadhan gets quite hot, and the metal roof of the warehouse doesn't help much, but we have a few big pedestal fans that keep the air moving. We’ve got stacks of catalogs sitting around because there are just too many items to remember every single part number. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the main entrance for a bit, so we have to ask people to wait or squeeze past. It’s a busy environment and the floor is usually covered in scuff marks from all the heavy equipment moving around. We aren't big on decorations; we just keep the tools where we can reach them. The coffee machine in the corner is older than some of the staff, but it still makes a decent cup. It’s just a regular hardware place where the work gets done and we go home tired.
