Het Trading Co

Het Trading Co is located right in the middle of the chaos on Nagdevi Street. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy Nagdevi is. We are on the second floor of building number 94. Climbing up those stairs is part of the routine every single morning. The street below is always full of people pushing carts and delivery vans trying to squeeze through. It’s a narrow building and our space is quite compact. We trade in various goods and the office is usually piled high with boxes and samples. There isn't much room for anything that isn't essential. We don't have a reception desk or a waiting area, just a place to sit and work. The sounds of the market come up through the windows all day long. It can be quite loud, but after a while, you stop noticing it. We’ve been operating from this second-floor spot for a long time. It’s a very traditional way of doing business here in the heart of the hardware district. We know our neighbors and the guys who deliver the tea. Everything is a bit dusty because of all the activity on the street, but we keep things moving. We handle orders, talk to suppliers on the phone, and try to make sure everything goes out on time. It’s a simple setup but it works for us and has for years. We just keep at it day after day.
