Gunjan Time

Gunjan Time is a small watch shop located on Circular Road in Santacruz West. You can find us at number 36892. The shop is full of clocks of all shapes and sizes, and if you stand still for a moment, you can hear them all ticking at once. I spend most of my day sitting at a small wooden bench with a magnifying glass fixed to my eye. I’ve been repairing watches for a long time, just like my father did before me. We do simple things like changing batteries or fixing broken leather straps, but we also take on more difficult repairs for older mechanical watches. The shop hasn't changed much in decades. We still have the old glass cabinets and the same worn-out stools. It’s not a modern place with bright lights and fancy displays. It feels more like a quiet workshop tucked away from the noise of Santacruz. People from the neighborhood bring in their old watches that have stopped working, and I do my best to get them ticking again. We don't have a big team or a website. It’s just me and a helper who comes in some afternoons. We drink tea, talk to the regulars, and keep track of the time. It’s a slow and steady kind of life here on Circular Road. We just keep doing what we know and hope it helps.
