Our shop is over in Kurla West, specifically in the Bommasandra Industrial Area 9. It’s a busy spot with a lot of people moving around all day. We spend most of our time behind the counter, working on whatever comes in. Some days it’s just fixing old watches, and other days everyone seems to have a broken phone screen at the same time. People usually stop by while they are on their way to work in one of the nearby factories. The shop isn’t fancy or anything like that. There are tools and small parts scattered across the workbenches. Sometimes we get really focused on a tiny watch gear and lose track of the time. Because we are in this area, there’s always noise from the street, but you get used to it. We don't have much room for people to sit, just a couple of old chairs near the door. My desk is usually a bit of a mess with screws and wires, but I know where everything is. We drink a lot of tea to keep us going through the afternoon heat. If the shop gets crowded, customers just wait outside on the pavement and chat. That’s just how it is here. We aren't trying to be a big corporate store. We just do the work that needs doing. Sometimes we have to tell people to come back later if a part is hard to find. It’s a simple way to make a living and keep things ticking.
